We recently supplied a new fold-down clothesline to a customer in Hornsby on Sydney’s Upper North Shore.
The customer contacted us before placing an order via our online clothesline shop. At her Hornsby property, there was an old “Hills Hoist” rotary clothesline installed in the backyard that she estimated was around 50 years old. She had lived at the property for 20 years and the current washing line location no longer got much sun as mature trees were now shading the area.
The customer sent us photos of a disused area at the side of the house where she wanted a new clothesline installed. The location was perfect as the washing line would receive ample sun from midday to late afternoon all year round.

With dual folding frames, both frames of theAdd-A-Line Fold Down Clothesline can be used as together as one or folded down independently. The customer could fold down the outer section when not in use, giving her wider access down the side of the house. When she required more washing line space for larger items like sheets and blankets, she could simply fold it back up. It was perfect!
The customer purchased the Woodland Grey colour as this matched the dark grey weatherboards of the house and black fence. While we offer a clothesline installation service, she said her son could install it for her.

Austral Add-A-Line Fold Down Clothesline
The Add-A-Line Austral clothesline has dual folding frames. Both frames may be used independently and both frames fold down.
It is suitable for 1-5 people and comes in a range of colours including Classic Cream, Surfmist and Woodland Grey. Colourbond colours, including Black, Dune, Heritage Green, Monument, Paperbark, Shale Grey Wallaby & White, are available on request.

- Size: 2.4m wide x 1.5m deep. Area required: 2.5m x 1.8m.
- Front frame: 90cm deep with 8 lines. Back frame: 60cm deep with 7 lines.
- Line spacing: 13.5cm for wider spacing or 6.5cm for narrower spacing.

Delivery, Returns and Warranty Information
Please ensure you leave clear delivery instructions in case you are not at home.
Returns : You have seven (7) calendar days to return an item from the date of delivery. To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. Your item must be in the same packaging. Your item needs to have the receipt or proof of purchase. More information »
Delivery Locations : We deliver to all Metro Areas on the East Coast and in South Australia. Outer-lying areas, including Far North and Regional Queensland, Regional NSW, Regional Victoria, and Regional South Australia, are partly services by our couriers however we are limited by their delivery zones. If you would like to check if we can deliver to you, prior to purchase, feel free to contact us. When ordering clotheslines, letterboxes and spare parts from our website, you will not be told if you are out of area when you check out via the shopping cart. If you are out of our delivery zones, our friendly team will be in touch to provide some alternatives.
Free Shipping: The free shipping policy offered on our website is for delivery to most major cities. Unfortunately, some transport company’s door-to-door services are not available in all regional areas. Please be aware that you may have to pick up your order from the transport company’s closest depot, or incur an additional delivery charge (if the transport company’s policy extends to this service).
Shipping Times: After receiving your order, all products are generally shipped the next business day (unless otherwise stated).
