Three fold down clotheslines installed at Eastern Suburbs apartments
Supply and installation of strata clotheslines in Sydney.
We recently installed three fold-down clotheslines in a strata apartment building in Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs.
We received a call from the Body Corporate representative of strata apartments in Kingsford (Eastern Suburbs, Sydney). On an area of common property, they had two rusty old rotary clotheslines that were regularly used by the residents to dry their washing. The Body Corporate wanted to transform the old clothesline area into a garden space that could be enjoyed by residents so they wanted a new clothesline area created in an underutilised common property area that was more out of sight. We were happy to assist with removing the old washing lines, and supply and installation of the new clotheslines.
The Body Corporate representative sent us photos of the old washing lines and the proposed new clothesline area. We also discussed with him the washing line needs of the residents. With all this in mind, we recommended that 3 x Austral Standard Fold Down Clotheslines be installed.
Rather than affixing them to the building, we suggested we ground mount them using our height-adjustable clothesline ground mounting kits.
We ordered the new clotheslines for the customer and they arrived at the property within a few days. The customer chose Woodland Grey as this best suited the existing building brickwork and fence colours. Our Sydney clothesline installer arranged a suitable time to visit the property where he removed the old clotheslines and took them away for recycling. He then installed the 3 x new fold down, ground-mounted clotheslines in the new location. The job was completed in one day.

Austral Standard Fold Down Clothesline
Austral Standard Fold Down Clothesline are available in a range of popular colours including Classic Cream, Surfmist and Woodland Grey. Colourbond colours are available on request including Black, Dune, Heritage Green, Monument, Paperbark, Shale Grey, Wallaby and White.
Dimensions
Size: 2.4m wide x 1.5m deep. Area required: 2.5m x 1.8m.
Line Space: The standard has 12 lines with 28.5m of line space.
Line spacing: 13.5cm for wider spacing or 6.5cm for narrower spacing.

Returns : You have seven (7) calendar days to return an item from the date of delivery. To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. Delivery Locations : We deliver to all Metro Areas on the East Coast and in South Australia. Outer-lying areas, including Far North and Regional Queensland, Regional NSW, Regional Victoria, and Regional South Australia, are partly services by our couriers however we are limited by their delivery zones. If you would like to check if we can deliver to you, prior to purchase, feel free to contact us. When ordering clotheslines, letterboxes and spare parts from our website, you will not be told if you are out of area when you check out via the shopping cart. If you are out of our delivery zones, our friendly team will be in touch to provide some alternatives.
Free Shipping: The free shipping policy offered on our website is for delivery to most major cities. Unfortunately, some transport company’s door-to-door services are not available in all regional areas. Please be aware that you may have to pick up your order from the transport company’s closest depot, or incur an additional delivery charge (if the transport company’s policy extends to this service).
Shipping Times: After receiving your order, all products are generally shipped the next business day (unless otherwise stated).
