This Brisbane customer contacted us with a request for a freestanding fold-down clothesline with a specific length and width.
We were happy to help and discussed clothesline options with the customer. Upon our advice, he purchasee the Austral Compact 39 Fold Down clothesline. The size can be adjusted by simply cutting the front bar to the required size.
The Compact 39 is a compact version of Austral’s Standard Fold Down clothesline. The Compact has the same amount of line space as the Standard on a smaller frame, making it ideal for courtyards and apartments.
The Compact 39 is suitable for 1-6 people and comes in a range of colours, including the popular Colorbond range.
He purchased the optional ground mount kit. While we do offer a clothesline installation service, this customer didn’t require assistance and installed the washing line themselves.
After adjusting the clothesline’s width and length, he contacted us to compliment the product and let us know it was very easy to adjust the size to his specific requirements.

Austral Compact 39 Fold Down Clothesline

- A smaller frame makes it ideal for courtyards and apartments.
- Size: 3.3m wide x 0.94m deep. Area required: 3.4m x 1.2m.
- Line Space: The Compact has 12 lines with 39m of line space.
- Line spacing: 13.5cm for wider spacing or 6.5cm for narrower spacing.
- Colours: Classic Cream, Surfmist and Woodland Grey. Colorbond colours include Black, Dune, Heritage Green, Monument, Paperbark, Shale Grey Wallaby & White (Colorbond colour availability may vary from State to State)

Delivery, Returns and Warranty Information
Please ensure you leave clear delivery instructions in case you are not at home.
Returns : You have seven (7) calendar days to return an item from the date of delivery. To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. Your item must be in the same packaging. Your item needs to have the receipt or proof of purchase. More information »
Delivery Locations : We deliver to all Metro Areas on the East Coast and in South Australia. Outer-lying areas, including Far North and Regional Queensland, Regional NSW, Regional Victoria, and Regional South Australia, are partly services by our couriers however we are limited by their delivery zones. If you would like to check if we can deliver to you, prior to purchase, feel free to contact us. When ordering clotheslines, letterboxes and spare parts from our website, you will not be told if you are out of area when you check out via the shopping cart. If you are out of our delivery zones, our friendly team will be in touch to provide some alternatives.
Free Shipping: The free shipping policy offered on our website is for delivery to most major cities. Unfortunately, some transport company’s door-to-door services are not available in all regional areas. Please be aware that you may have to pick up your order from the transport company’s closest depot, or incur an additional delivery charge (if the transport company’s policy extends to this service).
Shipping Times: After receiving your order, all products are generally shipped the next business day (unless otherwise stated).
